Four pages!

This thread has been a liberating experience for me. Never again will I suffer from a guilty conscience when (on the very rare occasion, obviously) posting complete, utter tosh.

I thank you all.

You're welcome  .

I was going to adapt this quote from HG's very own lottery winner and master of Zen humour, but it wouldn't have sounded the same from me :) .

Correction

Subsequent to our story in yesterday's late edition, 'Beer Cafe shares double as local man squanders massive Lotto win : Nationwide badge shortage predicted', we have been asked to point out that the winnings in question consisted of

1 (one) chocolate egg
1 (one) t-shirt
1 (one) plastic carrier bag (gold-coloured)

and not, as we may have implied, a Securicor van crammed to the rafters with bundles of used twenties.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused elgee and the three hundred other people currently camped in his front garden.

Did you know that Jaffa Cakes are not allowed in the United Arab Emirates?

My friend went out there to work a few years ago there and customs removed the box of Jaffa Cakes he had in his grip because of the association the word 'Jaffa' had with another middle-eastern state. He was in a British food store a week or two later to discover that they were on sale, but under the banner of 'Orange Cakes' - what a sensitive world we live in.

It's a cake! it goes hard when it's left out! I accidentally voted biscuit though so I'm not really sure what I believe anymore...
