Flashpoint, season 1, ep. 1, "Scorpio", recorded from CBS Action last night.

Brilliant Canadian cop show from a few years ago, centring on Team One of the Toronto PD's Strategic Response Unit.

Took me a wee while to remember where I knew Amy Jo Johnson (playing team sniper Jules Callaghan ) from. She was the original Pink Power Ranger back in the 90s.
Another sunrise with my sad captains, with who I choose to lose my mind,
And if it's all we only pass this way but once, what a perfect waste of time.

Brilliant. So glad to see Q getting some long-awaited repeats. I was crying with laughter in places. ::):

Oh good grief, yes! Always been a huge fan of The Goon Show, and the Q series (even if most of it was before my time), quite partial to "The Raspberry Song". :D

But it remains one of the biggest regrets in my life, that I never had the opportunity to meet Spike in person. :(

It was my dad who steered me towards classic comedy when I was a little kid, listening to old Hancock tapes and Goon Shows on an old reel-to-reel tape machine. I remember some of the Q broadcasts from way back when, but Spike was also behind my favourite childhood book, BADJELLY THE WITCH.

An extraordinary man.

Sometime after New Year, I'm gonna dig out all seven books of his WWII memoirs and give em a re-read.

The (possibly apocryphal) tale of how Spike first met Harry Secombe makes me laugh every time.

Gotham, season 1, ep. 11, "LoveCraft".

Ok, and now it seems the series won't be back until "the spring". Which is what? March? April?

I don't mind a TV show taking a wee two or three week break to get Christmas and New Year out of the way, but this? At least two months?
