Sorry to heat that Banjo, my wife passed away on the 21/11/13 in the western can't bring myself to scatter her ashes

so sorry for your loss sandabound.my father passed away months ago but some things in life just seem to take a bit of time.only you will know when the time is right.fossil grove was were we had a little moment to ourselves and we are now at peace.thank you for your comments good people.

These things have a tendency to decide themselves when is the 'right' time, Banjo .. ashes are the remnants, where they go and when matter not a jot. What matters is everyone was at the point of acceptance that it was time to say "Cheerio".

I hope your loss doesn't weigh heavy on you for any longer than your Dad would wish it to, my friend.

Sorry to hear you two are weighed down with your losses. Doorstop has it about right. Ashes and other physical reminders will make up their own mind when it's time to go. It's the memories that you get to keep.

positive waves gratefuly accepted.some people on here are wise beyond their years and may they continue being so.i will say this though we have no emotional baggage at my fathers passing away as it was his time but i do appreciate my mother more now than ever before.

Helen, thank you for your kind thoughtful words & of course the positive waves, like Banjo's Dad it was my wife's time to go after many years of illness & she went very peacefully so can't ask any more.

Looks like I'm back on the scrap heap at the end of the month - the suits & accounts have been crawling around since the turn of the year, and announced their shutting the place effective from the end of March. I've only been there 13 months but it was more or less the same job I'd done since leaving school albeit with a different company.

Have a applied for a few jobs, even had a speculative interview/chat last month about another similar role, but nothing concrete yet. I'll let the news sink in might even get a proper nights sleep, unless the nightmares about the whole JSA/JCP/Work Programme rears it's head again.

Well after being made redundant at the end of March, I have secured a new job - without the "help" of JCP or the Nasty B@$t@rd$ at the Work Programme.

Start on 28th of April.
