This seems to fit the bill perfectly.

I saw Ross Davidson (remember him, Eastenders 'star' during '80's, left, never heard of again) get on the same bus as me at Buchanan station, in fact he asked me if it was going to Viewpark (or Tannochside, one of the two).

Apparently he was going to visit his mum.

Thon Mr Davidson was in probably the worst "selling yourself short" advert ever..Admiral Car Insurance. circa 1990's
At the time he was well out of Albert Square, and presumably his agent must have forced him at gun point to take it.

The scene is set in a dressing room where Ross was playing the part of an "actor" getting ready to play the role of the Admiral.
Not Ross Davidson playing the role as the Admiral himself.

So washed up infact, he was playing 3rd party to a fictitious person playing the role of a fictitious person.

Fantasticly crap!
He must have been in trouble with the bookie.

I remember meeting Bernie Clifton in the mid-90's down in Butlins in Ayr. I was
distinctly underwhelmed...

A mate of mine was playing in a band there, and Clifton was floating about in the dressing
room area as if he was all that. He buggered off to the bar and my mate and a bandmate
of his poured lager in the inside of that stupid bird costume of his - it was wringing
wet, but not noticable from the outside. We later watched him on stage, prancing
about in a lager-soaked-genitals type way... ::):

I found Bryan Burnett's wallet when he left it in Starbucks, I found his phone number in it and phoned him and when he collected it he didn't even say thanks. In my personal opinion he is a ________. You can put your own swearword in the space provided.

I was in a lift in Birmingham once and in walked Crossroads Stan Harvey. The bearded husband of Jill Harvey who was the sister of wee Sandy in a wheelchair who was the son of Meg Richardson later Mortimer.

I've been at a party in someone's house and I spoke to Lesley Fitz-Simons (Sheila Ramsay from High Road) in the kitchen as I 'sourced' more alcohol.

Remember getting a photo with Freddie Starr before a mid-80's Scotland v England game at Wembley. He was with Scott Fitzgerald (?) (had a no.1 with Yvonne Keeley..."If I had words")........anyhow, he tried to get into the photo and my mate Kenny shoved him down the stairs unaware of his minor celeb-status and friendship with the comedian on the hamster enriched diet.

Scotland games are awash with minor celebs!

Just remembered this - donkey's years ago I had a drinking session in the Griffin Bar with James Cosmo who at that time was Alex Geddes in Take The High Road. Lent him a book about the novelist B. Traven ["Treasure Of The Sierra Madre", "The Death Ship" etc] and God the trouble I had getting it back. Bloody library book too. You couldn't call him washed up though. Still getting plenty of work.
