I had a rather strange dream and as I woke up I accidentally bit the tip of my tongue.
It started to bleed so I got some frozen veg out the freezer and had to suck on a piece of broccoli.

It did taste slightly strange but did the trick.
I didn't think it was bad enough to be heading to A&E.

I have had a bit of a cold so got some medicine from our local chemist.
They make their own preparation and many people swear by it so will give it a go later today.

Have had a hot whisky last few nights and then before bed been slathering on the Vicks after a hot shower so think
it has helped.

Thanks Henrysix.

Hot Irn Bru you reckon?

That makes me think of my days in the Girl Guides when we were camping and they would have had things like hot Ribena or orange drinks.
Personally I'd have preferred a hot chocolate but I suppose you'd have needed a lot of milk and probably taken too long or been too complicated to serve that number of people.

Always enjoyed toasting marshmallows on sticks over the camp fire.

I remember my mother giving us bowls of boiled water with Vicks and you had a towel over your head to make sure you would
breathe in the fumes.
Kind of like a sauna ::):

So a tin of organic kidney beans is £1.60 for 400 g can.
Nah your alright I'm good with the cheaper ones and do they actually taste any better. ::):

Each to their own I suppose.

on that note,a litre of milk in asda is the same price as a half litre.despite the half litre being half the packaging and having travelled the same distance.this can only be ripping off the more elderly in the community who probably do not use as much.age concern should be all over things like this.

I was reading somewhere recently that a jar of coffee Douwe Egberts was priced at £9.25 for a 190g jar in Morrisons.
We don't have Morrisons here but have ordered some of their groceries on Amazon grocery for my son in England.

I do like some of the branded coffees but I don't think I'd be paying that sort of price especially when you can buy it cheaper
elsewhere. Either that or I'd buy Nescafe Gold (200g) or an unbranded one if need be.

What do others think?

banjo,

I buy the sachets of those too but as I tend to drink quite a few cups of coffee then I buy jars as well.

I like hot chocolate so my husband got a good deal online and I have a good supply of Cadbury Drinking Chocolate in the house.

It's finally happened!!

Well just back home yesterday after spending weekend in Glasgow.
Finally got to see Elton John at Ovo Hydro after originally booking tickets in February 2020.
Spent a fortune between hotel and tickets but it was a great night and it was Elton's last ever gig in Glasgow or Scotland.

Apparently Susan Boyle was at the Saturday night show (read that online) and Elton announced that Paulo Nuttini was there with his family on Sunday night and he then dedicated a song to him which was 'Don't let the sun go down on me'.

We were there on Sunday night too, Dot! Epic gig. What a legend he is. Totally agree about the ticket prices though, you practically needed a new mortgage to pay for them. Had to be done, though. Totally worth it.
