"No Time Like the Past" by jodi Taylor. Book 5 in the "Chronicles of St. Mary's" series.

Basically, it's time travelling historians. Good series, not as dull as it sounds.

A friend on Facebook recommended the first book "Just One Damn Thing After Another", I saw it was 99p on Kindle and took a chance.

Liked it enough to order books 2-6 from the local library.
Another sunrise with my sad captains, with who I choose to lose my mind,
And if it's all we only pass this way but once, what a perfect waste of time.

Just picked up a copy of Stephen Hawking's 'A brief history of Time' in The Works chain. Will be interesting to see how far I get into it until my brain hurts or I fall asleep. 'Er indoors suggests probably page 4.
Always been impressed about how some people can handle cosmology and other serious out of this word things. As an auld railway engineer I have no problem handling reasoned facts and arguments, but space, time, black holes and so on really hurts my head :?

"The Little Old Lady Behaving Badly" by Catharina Ingelmen-Sundberg, translated from the Swedish by Rod Bradbury.

Third in the "League of Pensioners" comedy caper novels. Think of it as "Oceans 11" meets "Still Game".

Bleak House, it's a bit of a struggle though. Dickens' books are so long you can use them as doorstops.
