If I may say so though DS, you have exceptional skills with the language, and an ability to argue a case or put across a point that is truly exceptional (cf the IDS thread amongst others)

Josef... you flatter me (and I thank you). HG is full of exceptional characters of which you are by no means least, and I think this interplay of knowledge, experience and banter is the true tonic for life's daily woes.

I think I've found a solution for my fear of flying and going across the Atlantic....an airship - rigid or non rigid (I've been doing research) Perfect.. no rough seas as in the boat and not too high up in the air as in a metal bird.

Still sounds good even after reading this excellent, detailed account by a passenger on the maiden voyage of the Hindenburg.
