Hi fellow boozer's.......My local for about 15 years was 'Hepburns' in the salt market near glasgow cross, it has had a few change of hands since then, it was 'Mulvey;s' for a while after that and now its called 'The Spirit'.....(its went downhill though)! Pity!

closest pubs is cottiers which is spitting distance away, but overpriced and pish.

favourite local is the lismore on the corner of dumbarton road and mansfield street, i believe it used to be called the mansfield a few years back, and before that part of the co-operative line of shops on mansfield street.

also quite like the clyde valley.

cheers.

sonnyj99 Cottiers is probably my local too. Agree in your opinion - utter pish. Forst time I ever went in I got charged £3.50 for a pint of Fosters and I vowed never to go back.

I usually end up in Common Rooms now.

That would be before it was called Granny Gibbs. And a change of management that stopped all the nonsense.

Nope it was called Granny Gibbs then - not known it by any other name. I had heard it is under new management

Granny Gibbs is my local and only go in once in a blue moon with the wife. Never had any problems in it, nor witnessed any. I cannot remember the name of it when it first opened, something like the Park or something like that - Dex - help oot here!

I thought it was one of Collie Beatties pubs and the extension certainly changes the character of the place but there is so much more could be done to improve it. Still not a bad place to go, especially when I think of the Coach House Inn and the Lincoln Inn both in Knightswood - now these are 'entertaining' pubs!

Yes i remember the roundabout, back in the early 1990's, I hadn't long started working and the whole office used to head out on a Friday when we got an hour for lunch it was there I was introduced to the demon drink.

The bosses never used to bother until someone spoiled it by turning into Street Fighting Man after one too many Newky Broons, and wanted to fight with the guys in production.

Not long afterwards, the gaffers cut our Friday lunchetimes to 30 mins :(
