Ad Lib Largs

According to their website, the guys at Ad Lib in Largs can see the North of England out of their window.

Maybe they got their glazing from the same guy that supplied Billy Connelly with his prescription windscreen.

Ah, the world-famous Cumbria This. More than twice the size of the Tewkesbury That, and no admission fee.
All the world seems in tune on a Spring afternoon, when we're poisoning pigeons in the park.

I was in the Ad Lib in Hope street once about 30 years ago. It was called Ad Lib (mid-atlantic).

Indeed it was an it's still as good now as it was then. Ad Lib at the foot of Byres Rd has an excellent lunchtime burger offer at the moment.

Once you were a regular, Big Eddie the Armenian used to come and pluck you from the queue, much to the chagrin of those in front. If you bought a meal, you could drink 'til 2 am with Hotel California as the soundtrack. That would be around 35 years ago.
I saw that (alleged) wee fud Alan Stewart getting his head punched for trying to skip the queue. ::):

I mentioned this 'typo' to Billy Mac the other day. It seems it's attracting traffic to the site.
