If the Thai Fountain is still at Charing Cross it might be worth a visit.

Thai Siam is excellent. OK, so it's not the greatest Thai restaurant in the world but probably the best in town. I dunno why there are so few Thai restaurants in Glasgow, you can't move for them in Edinburgh (and if anyone is through there; The Wild Elephant, Newington Rd is fantastic and cheap).

Anyone know if the Thai Lemongrass Restaurant is still on Renfrew Street?

I've only been to Thai Siam and Thai Fountain. T Siam is excellent. I couldnt fault it. They also do a takeaway menu, which is magic. Thai fountain is good too, although it's a bit pricey and the waiting staff are always a bit too attentive (e.g. constantly filling up your glass, and at taking away plates, etc.) as they want you out the door as quickly as possible.
I think there's 2 others now. Thai Lemongrass - not sure if it's still open.. and Thai Orchid - just along from the Radisson on Argyle St. Not tries both, but feel free to post if anyone has.

The Thai Lemongrass on Renfrew Street it still alive and kicking... Well, not exactly kicking, but it is a good place to eat. I live above it.

Speaking of the temporary capital; if you like the subtle spices of Thai food there's a smashing Nepali restaurant next to the Haymarket Bar called the kukri (geddit??? geddit???) opened by a couple of retired Gurkhas with their demob money.
