The Sisters restaurant have opened up in Kelvingrove Street. Hope it's as good as the Jordanhill one.

Went to Kebabish in Victoria Road on Saturday - superb Indian grill. The saag paneer and Tandoori king prawn were well worth it - unlicenced though.

The Kurdish place, Koshkemeer, on Pollokshaws Road is also worth a look (you'd have to like lamb though). It's also unlicenced but is BYOB with a £2 cover charge. Always seems to be booked out on Saturdays.

Kailyard Green
Dumbarton Road near Thornwood Ave.

Not long opened, used to be an Italian, 3 course pre theatre, about £12, excellent value. Same people as roastit Bubbly Jocks and Fanny Trollops.

We have our own "Mags" from Partick over on the W/E site, thought you might be she

Mr. Tiger, you are obviously of an age where Terry Wogan is considered "Risque" Help me out with two hitherto unsanswered questions....
1. What is the exact address of the old "Bier Keller" in Union St.?
2. What was the name of the upstairs pub at the bottom of Union St, above what is now the Goth Club Disco? Both would be around the early 70's. Peter, you can join in too

Ahye - RBJocks and Fanny Trollopes are excellent. The BYOB option is really handy for keeping costs down too. Here's a few others:

The Wee Curry Shop, Ashton Lane - Geat curry's and very intimate. Another BYOB!
Asia Style, Charing Cross - The best chinese/malaysian in town. All very authentic. Different from any other chinese I've experienced.
La Fiorentina, Paisley Rd West - Top italian. Expensive but good.
The Baby Grand, Byes Rd - Very reasonable food. Do a good deal on 5pm.co.uk where u get 2course for 2 & a bottle of wine for 25quid.
The Lansdowne, Lansdowne Cres - Still does good food and decent wine in a good atmosphere.
The Big Blue, Gt Western Rd - Good pizzas and pasta. Fairly reasonable prices.

Was in Papingo's on Bath Street (underneath Taylor Ferguson's) at the weekend.

Excellent food, excellent service the only fly in the ointment is that its a touch expensive.

starting to salivate just thinking about the food though, yum yum!!
Who needs a six pack....when you've got a keg!!!

Our favourites are Sibbos Delhi Dhabba next to the Sandyford Hotel.
For chinese the Poa san on Cumbernauld Road is still my favourite along with the Asia Style chinese place at Charing Cross
We also love the Sartis on Bath Street and the Buongiorno in Shawlands

The Italian Kitchen on Ingram Street is definitely my favourite at the moment - perfect restaurant, fresh food, great value for money. Check out their 'Penne con pollo'. :D

Also Bibo Cibo, Merchant Squre. I didn't have high hopes but was pleasantly surprised, lovely grub and cocktails.

The Dhabba (Albion St?), Merchant City. Have had some delicious meals in there but the bill can end up quite expensive!

(I work in the Merchant City area, so may be slightly biased with the above!)
