Below is my narrow minded view on Glasgows restaurants. Many more nice places but trying to get a small view based on comments based earlier. Would encourage all to bear in mind my comments on G1. G1- worst place to eat ever in my opinion. Nice bars though........
Massimo's, Bath Street, best Italian in center (Bath St) and north (Bearsden) of town. Comfortably.
UB Chip - Competes with Bacco below for favourite restaurant. However, does not have the innocence nor the prices of Bacco so Bacco is the one.
Stefan King / G1 Group - Avoid eating at all cost. Food overpriced and shite, at all venues. Microwave / re-heat special at many. Usually nice surroundings though, if you are into that.
78 St Vincent - Good food, nothing special
Lounge / Opus / Whatever it is now - Overpriced shit for people that think they are special.
Barca Princes Square - Worst Tapas ever. So overpriced to boot.
Zinc Princes Sq - Good food, nice place.
Etain Princes Sq - Zinc for those that feel the need to pay more
Il Pavone Princes Sq - Bogstandard
Bacco, Kilmarnock Road. Best Italian in Glasgow, if you only eat the specials. Menu bog-standard but the chefs specials are amazing.
Arigo - Average, usually ok for seafood.
Ole - Poor
Urban Grill - Did not get it. Pretty shit surroundings (dark and dingy) and bog standard food.
Ivroy - Pretty decent. Nice bar and staff, almost pub food. Irritated me that people booked tables as it is basically pub grub, served nicely.
