more and more of them are cutting the meat off the big elephant leg and then keeping it hot in those things they keep the sauce hot in. Pisses me right off, because the meat ends up soggy and loses some flavour. Probably healthier for you with all the fat being boiled out of the meat, but if i want healthy, i don't have a doner kebab. :D

Where still cuts it off in front of you?

Take it nobody read the article in the News of the World on Sunday about the takaways who were buying up rotten meat that had been bleached. Stomach churning descriptions of this meat "stinking and dripping puss" before the bleaching process. Small takaways (eg kebab shops) were more than happy to buy this muck. I won't be buying a Kebab for a while

Should I Worry About... Take Aways?
Thu 14 Jul, BBC1 7:00 pm - 7:30 pm 30mins

Richard Hammond eats takeaways at least twice a week. The average family will eat up to 10,000 of them over a lifetime. But what exactly is in our favourite curries, chow meins, burgers and kebabs?

Should be interesting!

I'm sure there was a Kebab shop called Iffy's on great Western Road in the late 80s.

A guy I knew once had curry sauce from a chinese take away scientifically analysed. Turns out it was 40% lard. :?

Honestly, the best kebab shop IS "Best Kebab" at the corner of Castle Street & Queen Street Station.

Chicken kebab is HUGE with proper salad-not just white cabbage-served with home-made hoummous (how the hell DO you spell that?!Could be another debate...)& proper chili sauce. It's as far removed from your crappy cat/dog thing that you get elsewhere!

Try it & see!

As I've recently moved to Bute I'm actually going to havev a wee stop-off when I'm up to Glasgow for my next soiree as withdrawl symptoms are causing me grief,
