Postby MungoDundas » Sat May 03, 2008 1:38 am

Construction workers have now left the building.
Cafe Zique, Hyndland St. G11 5PT

Top scran for me'n'the twins in CafeZique at teatime, before it got busier.

Some cheeky art photos making up the wall features too.

Just round the corner from me. The Mrs is champing at the bit to go but does not look like my sort of place - prefer to go to Rio Cafe. But will give it a shot now!

The owner of Delizique is a lovely woman, but some of the people who shop there bug the hell out of me. It's no fun being stuck in a queue behind someone having a crisis over which olives to serve at dinner that night.

Tried the 'zique for brunch yesterday. Rather delicious scrambled egg & smoked salmon, but not cheap at £7.50. I don't think I'll be frequenting it too often with those prices.
I did like the use of reclaimed material for the décor though - looked like recycled floorboards from a school gym or something.
