Twisted Wheel

This is what used to be Rock Garden (RG's) in Queen Street. I'm finding myself becoming quite fond of it. The new owner has gone for a Northern Soul/Ska/Reggae feel but has kept pretty much all of the décor the same as it was before. I was there last Friday night and there was a DJ playing Ska and a chap came in with a trumpet and was playing live along with the records. Sounds odd but it was brilliant! They do food too, so far had macaroni cheese (bland) and nachos, not impressed, they put all the parts in separate dishes with a tiny sprinkling of cheese on top of the tortillas, so it's not all a big heap like nachos should be! But they have San Miguel on draught so that made up for it! ::):

That would have been the stereotype DJs.

Bangers and mash also recommended.
"I before E, except after C" works in most cases but there are exceptions.

I've not been in this since Xmas Eve. I assume all the piss artists who used to take advantage of the cheap midweek bevvy prices have moved on?

I believe the cheap mid week bevvy prices are long gone.

I was there on Xmas Eve too, finished work at 4pm and headed straight there!Dunno about piss artists but it can get quite busy in there of an evening. Mind you, it is quite wee and the seating isn't very well laid out.

Looks like it might have been, aye. Bangers and mash are next on the menu for me to try.
