Dumbarton & Rock Walk, Saturday 9th March 2019
Posted: Tue Feb 26, 2019 3:44 pmMeet at 10:20 outside Partick rail station with your return tickets to catch the 10:40 train to Dumbarton Central.
If you’re travelling from somewhere else or take a different train, we‘ll meet at the south exit of Dumbarton Central on Station Road at 11:00.
The plan is to follow the heritage trail route in town before some refreshments, we can all decide on the day what we’re doing about lunch.
Then we’re heading to Dumbarton Castle for access to the rock - please note that a £5.00 entry fee or a Historic Scotland membership card are required.
The steps leading to the top are quite steep and narrow in places. It can get quite windy up there so please chose your clothing wisely and remember to take a warm hat.
Return to Glasgow from Dumbarton East station.
