Thanks mate!

If we DO get it, then there will indeed be free games aplenty to anyone coming onsite!
Need to find out who owns it first though :|

I think its still owned by the catholic church. But you will face stiff competition from other interested parties. Theres been a chartitable trust setup to try and find a purpose for the building (as featured in the Herald) ... well i think they propose that it gets turned into some kindof adventure centre for deprived kids.

What about an adventure centre for depraved airsofters? :)

Hmm... If that's the case, then I doubt we have a chance at all - what with Guns Being Bad and all :(

Heading out again this afternoon.

Bloody typical - Of the 4 days this week so far, the 2 I HAVEN'T been able to go have been blindingly sunny!

Didn't make it out the other day, but stopped by yesterday en route home from another recce trip.

BTW, for future reference - For a shorter walk, drive on past the steel fences and gatehouse, and take the NEXT left, down the farm road. There's an in-shot a little wats along that to park in, and a short hike across the field takes you to the rear of St Peter's.

Uploading pics now...

Shame the Herald guy doesn't know the difference between modern and post-modern architecture!

It would be good to se something happen with the place. The grounds although very overgrown are beautiful.

As for teh "substantial amounts" spent on security...i mean yeah, like what? It certainly currently jus fencing, the gates are no longer even closed. The kids that roam the place claimed it was the BBC who cut the padlocks on that! But its not like they have been shelling out for 24 hr security. Although maybe they did before Kilmahew house was burnt down?

I think they're just trying to cover their backs for letting it get in this state. So basically, it's a housing development and then hand over ownership of the A-listed building to local management. who'll no doubt take great care of it / let it fall into 'dangerous' condition and have it demolished (delete as appropriate)
