Remember for a while, a few years ago, some of them had multi-coloured lights and bits of fruit, etc. embedded in the glass. Can't remember if it was for part of a particular festival, but people seemed to take great joy in smashing them thereby ruining the whole effect

I think it was an art student project. There were golden ones, fruit stickers, coloured glass and other enhancements. Rather nice, I thought.
