Well I’ve been on a few adventures that haven’t amounted to much and wouldn’t normally post these but this one’s truly a sad loss for any basement enthusiasts. Anyone who’s been down here in the past will know what I mean. There used to be an area to the left at the bottom of the stairs that led to a large basement. This was almost maze like, quite a warren of narrow corridors with many heavy external doors that gave the impression they would lead to more corridors or rooms but behind them were very small cupboards. It’s now been completely refurbished into a sound/recording studio with absolutely no evidence of the original structure. Here’s what’s left of the basement area to the right of the stairs. It’s not much and is a sad reflection of what I remember from the past.
