Sad to say that Langside Parish Church at the corner of Ledard Road and Lochleven Road is burning down as I write this.

I live less then 500 yards from this church (should really change my location to Battlefield, I suppose), and knew nothing of the blaze. It's fair to say that drink has been taken this weekend!
Sad news. I'm not big on religion, but the church seemed well used and hosted a good number of events, it would seem. Was the original chuch not demolished after a fire as well?

They were always very nice at Doors Open Day too.
(not that I mean anyone who isn't should have their church burned down!)
