Never came across this before.

Thanks for posting that, its really interesting!
Does anyone know what they did with the bodies after they opened up the graves? Were they moved to another location within the prison?

I have no idea where they got moved to but I'm sure the prison service wouldn't want to make it public.

Thanks too. I was asking about hanging at Barlinnie just a few weeks ago. A good short film.

That was very interesting. Gruesome but captivating.

It is an interesting watch. Made me feel claustrophobic some of the time.

Thanks Peetabix

Really absorbing film , visually somehow needed to be in black and white.

I was a bit disturbed by the mechanics of the whole thing with the weight / rope length tables ,sand etc but I suppose they are requirements if you are doing this sort of thing and need to minimise the mess.
Worse though was the beam's 3 at a time capacity. Victorian efficiency or something darker?

There is a link on the site to a clip of another film called "wire burners" by the same director. I saw the whole thing at the time. I recognised at least one of the characters, and got a different perspective on that persons life. Pretty grim

I'm editing this post just in case. The chap I recognised is not in this clip - he was the guy who used to tour city centre building sites with a shopping trolly collecting scrap. The folks in the clip are poor souls

Had a wee Google at Donald Ferguson Forbes, who is mentioned towards the end, which led me on to the Hansard archives from the early sixties - I hadn't realised they existed online.

For a decade, I lived two or three doors up from the scene of one of Peter Manuels' multiple murders, but didn't know it until years later. Which I suppose is a good thing. None of yer murder tourism here.

Sadly I did the same. It doesn't get more Glasgow than a Bar-L Brick™
