Fascinating. I travelled on this line a few times back in the 70's and vaguely recall the old platform areas.
The pen is mightier than the sword, and is considerably easier to write with.

Yorkhill Tunnel

Postby Knight of the Thistle » Tue Jun 12, 2007 4:21 pm

Hi all.

Was passing the Yorkhill tunnel a few days ago and noticed that it has been blocked off with large steal plates! No more raves then, does anyone know when the last one was?

Cheers.

P.S. this is ma first post! :D

There is the gate at the Gibson Street end, but it looks pretty secure.

Open air sections. Deep walled cuttings etc.

I think it's locked up for real now - noticed a shiny new padlock a couple of weeks ago.

Was down in the Botanics tunnel yesterday with Flex, first time I'd been down, it was surprising to see how big the station was. Such a cool place.
