Nice pics mate. In the old one of Central Station, looking at the top of the window it looks closed?! Probably just the poor lighting due to the weather though?

Since you asked this in public, I'll reply in public. I was (and to some extent still am) annoyed by the amount of off topic material in the threads, and by the aggressive manner of some posters, particularly when replying to the comments of other forum members. Sharon has recently requested that we should "behave and be nice", and I wonder if that was inspired by similar feelings about ill-mannered posts. If people respect Sharon's request, and if the signal-to-noise ratio improves, I will be happy to continue reading, posting and taking part in outings.
Best, Ronnie

So... You were in the huff ?

::):

I asked in public because you first mentioned it in public. I had no idea you had taken a vow of silence for a bit.

If you have specific issues with persons / people / etc then please PM me or Sharon.. No need to suffer in silence!

As explained before this site is not just about Glasgow... This is a community - now and again we might talk about things outside of Glasgow - that's not off topic, it's just not about Glasgow.

You may have noticed the new 'Be Nice' rule seems to be working well over the past couple of weeks, don't you think ?

Be annoyed no longer good sir!! Tell us [by PM] the problem and we will address it!!

:-)

Fossil,
It's funny the odd wee coincidences in life. I got chatting recently to one of our older neighbours and found out for the first time that tramcars used to come up our way in Burnside, then you show an old photograph of one going down Stonelaw Road. The neighbour also mentioned that WW2 brick bomb shelters were built in our Road. That and then seeing your photograph reminds me that in the photograph on the left hand side, the farthest back of the light coloured houses was hit by a Nazi bomb and about one third demolished during a raid aimed at Cambuslang steel works. I'm sure I could come up with some more mind-boogling minutie if I tried
