Pollokshaws Burgh Hall

the hall was open as part of doors open day ,so considering that the last time i was in there was over thirty years ago as a primary school kid at christmas watching a pantomine , i thought it would be worth a visit . you had access to practicaly every part of the building, including the clock tower, which meant walking up the old narrow cast iron spiral stairs . here are some of my pics .

it was open as part of the doors open day event held on saturday and sunday of this past weekend .

Nice to see it as it is now - I believe a pipe organ is about to be installed in the balcony, so it probably won't look like this next year!
