Struthers Street later became Tobago Street in Calton, and originally named after Robert Struthers the brewery owner. Struthers later became the first Provost of Calton.

Tobago Street was formallly known as Young Street. I'm Not sure when it was known as Struthers Street as my grandparents lived in Tobago Street (Young Street) and my mother was born there in the 1930's

This is probably the best place to note that the Scottish Brewing Archive Association has a new website: http://www.scottishbrewingarchive.co.uk/

The Clockwork has been brewing its own beer without pause for 20 years now, still does, and I'm happy to have been invited to brew up an anniversary beer with Jose the current brewer.
