Discussion on the "tallest building" got me thinking...and carried away. Here is a quick rendition on what remains, and what was built subsequently.

So was the above-ground one, round the back by the offices used by Radio Clyde and later the Fraud Squad and Fire Service (maybe?). Probably not so much during the day, though.

There was a police station in the Anderston Centre too. I remember being in it (to collect lost property, honest) in the mid '80s. Can anyone remember where in the centre it was though, or what it was next to?

Wasn't that at May House, western end of the Centre, where the new flats are now?

Does anyone remember a pub in the Anderston Centre called 'The Kenwood'? I saw it mentioned in a September 1979 article in the Herald but never heard of it before.

It was a paper report I read of fear the residents of the centre had in 1979 after a stabbing in a stairwell. It mentioned The Pot Black shut at 9pm and the Kenwood, specifically mentioned as being in the centre, shut at 8pm.

Didnt the snooker club open when Orbit shut its doors in the 1980s?
