Even had a couple of reflectors in place;

From reading wikipedia the style of the sign could make it as early as 1903 though it looks like aluminium so probably after 1930. The flat sheet signs like the one below it were introduced in the 1950's and were universal by the early 1960's so this one is a real survivor.

Saw this in the recently closed Co-op shop on Great Western Rd. yesterday. For those of you who don't know the area , there is another Co-op about five minutes walk away.
