Oh, I haven't seen those before. Must change that. Lovely.

It's a lovely wee park too Sharon .. loads of well kept and manicured spaced, kiddies play area, decorative fountain and plenty of old capstans and berthing bollards along the riverside to sit on and just watch the river.

On a lovely, sunny day I think it would be ideal for a wee sit down and to spend a hour or two with a flask and some sandwiches.

Couldn't find anyything in forum about this, Can anyont tell me anything about a large face carving on the banks of the Clyde just downstream of Renfrew ferry area? difficult to see in the summer when trees have their leaves

which side of the river is that frank?

The "head" is on south side of river I think there is a park or golf course there!

What an odd and lovely thing. I hope somebody knows why on earth it's there.

What: transformation of a run-down housing estate into a community with public art and landscaping at a cost of £815,000

Quick eco-credentials With local homes being refurbished, the council wanted to do something to transform the public realm, so worked with the community to create outdoor spaces that are good for the environment and local people

What the judges said
‘Inspiring. This is a very difficult thing to get right - getting people onside and including everyone. As well as homes, they have created a place, which is powerful.’

Key green features

All artwork was designed in partnership with local young people, playspaces were designed in consultation with both young and older residents.
Biodiversity was increased and lots of new trees were planted.
Rather than being thrown away, the 1960s concrete street sculptures will be covered in bright, hardwearing materials and reused.
