Cheers folks. Anywhere else worth a try? I'd like to try an outdoors one if possible... Maybe the Meadowside Granary?

That's the Panopticon building, yes? With the blue paint?

Bloody good idea actually, I wonder if the Trust would pay me to do some work for them.... They're doing up the insides, but the outside needs a lick or 2. Wonder if I could get in for a few photos to put up here...

Well I've got some plans and plenty of pics that could be used as a reference.

(I can provide any of those in higher res if needbe; I have a few others as well I could dig out).

They did a sort of 'after' digital makeover when it was on Restoration last year; you only saw it for a second though.

EDIT: actually, I've got another 20 or so photos from my visit if I remember correctly. Now where did I file them... ?

See that pic of the artifacts? Dave and one of his friends were responsible for finding all of that in amongst literally four inches of dust.

He got the fright of his life when he came across an eye staring at him. It was the remains of one of the waxworks......

Good photos, Nodrog. I had a feeling someone would have photos already, but depending on what happens with this, I'll need a few of my own, and it would be nice to get in there for a look around.

It's a place that is well worth a visit; quite atmospheric wandering about by yourself I can tell you!

The Trust is about to launch an updated website, so you could suggest if they let you in they could use the finished results on that?

Good stuff Rosco, a very nice effort. But can I ask, I have been getting the 'caustic' grain you speak of all over my renders in Viz4 - is there no way to remove this? It's not so noticeable inyour last render, though it still seems to be there.

I do mostly architecture renders for uni, and have only recently started useing Viz onstead of FormZ, but it's a much more complicated program. :cry:
