Glasgow's skyline

Postby john-g » Sun May 09, 2004 11:29 am

Anyone have any pictures of Glasgow's skyline? If so I want to see them!

Particularly interesting would be shots from the tops of Glasgow's (many:() council blocks.

Here's a pic of the West End as seen from Garnethill.

Excellent fotie John!

I would be particularly pleased to see any photos taken from flats in the North East of Glasgow (i.e. Germiston Royston Garngad Sighthill Townhead Balornock) I lived at Roystonhill for a few years. An excellent view across the city, and I believe the highest point in Glasgow?? I didn't have the sense as a kid to look after the few foties I took from up there

First up... had to edit your pic John, it was simply tooooooo big 8O

I've still got the full-size versions, PM me and I'll mail them to you :D

Nice old pic Schiehallion, although not the same view Im afraid. The church in the older pic is on Queens Dr, just east of Victoria Rd. I've got an old pic of the same view somewhere... I'll dig it out sometime.

That pic from Townhead is appreciated, although I have been away from Glasgow so long I dont recognize much of that fotie. Would I be right in saying that is Buchanan Street Bus Station?

Here's a selection of photos I took from the top of the University tower on a gloriously sunny day last summer; they cover most directions...
