Latest film location project is now up on Flickr.

This time I managed to track down and shoot 53 film locations from the 1979 movie That sinking feeling.

The full set is here https://flic.kr/s/aHskvYbc2M and here are a few taster shots;

Seconded. Number 18 jumps out - looks like the shop's not been painted since then, and what a difference in the tenements in the background. All cleaned up and yellow, with those towering chimneys gone.

Just completed a then and now video using locations from the film That Sinking feeling.

Incase you dont know the film it was Bill Forsyth's first feature film. He shot it in Glasgow in 1979 after he was refused funding to make Gregory's girl.

I was given the first picture a few weeks back. Petershill played at Hawthorn Park between 1919 and 1935. The ground was situated on the south side of Hawthorn Street, bordered by Memel Street and Blackthorn Street, with houses on the site now. The tenement you can see is on the corner of Hawthorn Street and Horne Street, and the Carron scheme was built on top of the hill on the left. If you click on this link you will see the site now. Can't quite get the angle spot on using streetview, but you can at least see the tenement.

I agree the before looked much better. I don't know what was gained (if anything) by these poor replacement buildings?

Having a look through this thread like the one with the old kingspark bowling club I was actually the last person to cut the green in 2005.

In that case Stevie, you should follow the link to my Flickr page where I have a full set of pictures of the bowling club before they started building the flats. Dave.
