Spooky shit man! At around 4pm today I was going to post a message in the Past Present thread asking that if this site was to crash, would the Past Present thread be in danger of being lost considering the work that has gone into it. If there was a danger, could it be protected through another means. I then had to go out and I come back on to see this thread!

mori...great work. Can you please tell us where it is (for those like me who live overseas and may not know what a place looks like but would have heard of it)..name of the bridge or port would also be great. Also the year of the before photo?

Pyro, good job for the second one...hardly changed a bit!

The images are from the Broomielaw top is present day while the past i'd say is early 20th century maybe 1910's/20's.

Broomielaw has been transformed from a once-bustling quay with holidaymakers heading “doon the watter” to becoming the city’s International Financial Services District, with rows of ultra-modern, high-tech office buildings.

And Home to the city's International Red Light District, to provide red light services to the IFSD.

Thanks for the extra info mori :D and dave2.

I think one of my ggg grandfathers worked in this area before he was crushed to death in a work accident in 1894. Not sure of the circumstances.
