Exchange Square/Gordon Street lights are by far the best in the city centre.

Larkhall main street has about 20 light on the lampposts of santa, bells etc. not very exciting. also in the way into Larkhall there are lights that say "Festive Gtreeings from Supercounty" - who are supercounty?
also if anyone can drive they should go to Coalburn and see the display that a local counciller puts on for Cash for Kids - very nice and not really tacky.

Supercounty was a thing the South Lanarkshire (and possibly north too!) launched when I was at school, we all were given out pens, car stickers and the like.... the whole slogan was something like "supercountysomethingsomethingexpertpallyworkforce". I'll see if I can find the sticker when I'm at home at Christmas.

Those stars around the Street lights must be new this year, they have them in Bridgeton and now Townhead.
Anywhere else?

Bumped into Pat Lally in M&S to-day, he's looking well, taller than I'd imagined.

Google suggests that it's "futuristic", which is a bit rubbish.

I think that could be right! I wasn't sure, but it seems to fit in my head...
