They are like mini promotion sheets that we send out to clients and use to publicise previous projects.

Hopefully it will come out ok later tonight.

I've always liked the idea of going back nowadays and taking a photograph from the same location, and comparing how much has changed. I bet that sculpture isn't there anymore, and probably all the shops will have changed hands. Anyone in Clydebank fancy taking a piccie for us?

the shopping centre has since undertaken a major refurbishment due to years of obvious neglect last time i was there the travelator to kilbowie road was boarded off and couldent be repaired due to there being no money and the centre was v dangerous in its own right due to areas being flooded out during heavy rain bcoz parts of i wer open air

God, I've been looking at that picture for days and only just realised that it's the shopping centre, I thought it was a train station. No wonder I couldn't work out which one.

I'll be in there today or tomorrow so I'll get a pic or two. You wouldn't think it's the same place it's changed so much.

While were here the Atlantis bar in Kilbowie Road is going to be refurbished in the next few months. It has never, ever, been redecorated since it was built in 1962 or thereabouts. It still has the original multi coloured diamond and triangle patterned formica on the walls, and the bar, and the floor, the ceiling, the tables, chairs and anything else they could find to stick it on.

If it's open I'll try for some pics but if anyone else has some?

David.

Here the pics of the clydebank shopping centre were excellent. Hard to believe it looked that good despite no roof. Cannot say that it looks good today with the refurbishment.

Fantastic pics of the old Clydebank shopping centre it certainly brought back memories of my mum dragging me down there to buy shoes.

I wonder what ever happened to the clock?

I think the clock, and the rest, was still there until it got refurbed last year. And if I remember, the animated cartoon scene at the bottom of the centre just up from the Co-op is still there.

I'd be interested to know when the pics were taken! I notice on the panorama of the town centre that Clydebank FC's ground is still there - it's now a McDonalds and Room 2 shopping area, such a shame that the senior club has bitten the dust.

I work at the business park across kilbowie road which doesn't seen to be there, so I would guess around 1985 would be right.
Hope is an indulgence for which I have little time.
