I tried to post them together, but, that was my first shot at the scanner :? I wish I had got some Chimney shots before the demo as the Steeple-Jacks took about 80 foot down before the demo :evil: Crap pics, are better than no pics, was my thinking ::):

That chimney was well solid must have been several metres thick at the base?

I've been through my books but none of them give a year.

Btw, why was the Renfrew chimney so stubby ?

Found this illustration of 'Notable High Buildings of the World' from 1896 showing the stack of the St Rollox Works being at number 7 and a whole 10 feet higher than the Great Pyramid!
