excuse my ignorance on how to post, but this postion at trongate has had painted advertisment on the building since the early 1920's (in fact I think the early advertisments are captured in photographs on this site somewhere under another project) the building originally was another 2 levels above the current height.

I had one near me which was uncovered around 12 years ago after a modern billboard was removed. At that time the colours were relatively fresh and you could still clearly read approximately 75% of the original advert. Now you can't even decipher the brand name which occupied the majority of the advert. It's no longer even a ghost; it's just gone.
