It is the HQ of Building Services. This is until later this month.

The building was the administrative centre for Parish Relief.

As Dex has previously stated sections of the building are offered for hire to oganisations holding small conferences and seminars.

When the building was the administrative centre for parish relief, did the poor souls who had to go here to beg for a few shillings?
As much as I admire this building I can't help but think how it compares to Barnhill and Govan Poorhouse.

HH taken throught the window in the kitchen. Only problem was the mesh that covered the outside. If you look closely you can see it.

I see what you are saying Margaret & to be honest, I am a little embarrased by it. Perhaps I should pay more attention to the social history of Glasgow & all that that entails, who knows.
What I can say, is that I do believe that what we do here on HG, honestly reflects the times that we live in, no more, no less. It is for others, the Architects, the Engineers, the Pollytishins, the great & the good, to make the changes, we are here to record the effects of those changes, not for ourselves, do you see, It's for the ones who will follow.
