Wednesdays and Saturdays at 2pm. Should we organise a trip for a few weeks time?

Tickets have to be bought before you go and cost £1.10 for adults and 70p for kids.

oh no!!

i cant go if its a saturday, i start my work at 2pm

is that the onlydays or are there more during the week in summer??

I thank that's yer whack for tours. Might be an idea to phone them and ask if they can do a tour specially if there's loads of us going. But Saturday suits me. Might go this weekend and report back.

Incidentally Ronnie, why is it everyone I know in Family History Society circles seems to know you? I keep mentioning your name and the tour you did and everyone says "Oh aye, I know him..."

i've also been a tour of under edinburgh in the vaults which was really good.

I'd definitely go to a tour of the mausoleum, even if nobody else can go at the same time. Wonderful inventions, cameras are :>

What time? My dad's leaving early in the morning, so I would be free from about 10am onwards.

Amateur film shot on 8mm between 1962 and 1965 by local resident Joe Griffiths showing the daily life of the Lanarkshire mining village of Bothwellhaugh. The village which served the Hamilton Palace colliery was evacuated to make way for a man-made loch when Strathclyde country park was built in 1965.

From Dougies message and film activity report this place was a busy village that just vanished almost overnight.As it was less than 40 years ago there must be a few people who lived there or remember it?
