If you're expecting to find a village.....forget it.

"Hidden Glasgow" by Carol Foreman has a chapter on Glasgow Central which will tell you what's under there.

Much of the material on this in the new edition is based on "Glasgow's Forgotten Village: The Grahamston Story" by Norrie Gilliland. Read more at

http://www.grahamston.com

I would tell you how great this book was, but since I was editorial consultant, you'd think I was biased!! ::):

Walk through a certain area to the west of Hope St at night and not be spoken/propositioned to by a young drugged up female.

Though I did once walk down from The Venue to The Rat Trap (around 1993-4) and missed every one of them totally.

Well, walking down once, One suddenly appeared out of nowhere! They must use stealth or something.

I've climbed the white tower at Park Circus, it's part of Park House and the only way into it is via the _smoking room_ of the Scottish Daily Express. It is used for storing old issues of newspapers.

I worked at the Express for a couple of years and did it one night. Up a very very rickety spiral stair case.

I was bricking it. It wobbled... a lot... too much. And the floor was a long way down. Fun but nerve wracking.
