Glasgow Gun Makers, Gt Wester Road, briefly revealed during a shop fit-out.
It's already been painted over in white emulsion unfortunately...

You know, it occurs to me, the new Transport Museum is going to have three street displays covering most of the 20th Century, shouldn't they be on the lookout for this kind of thing, rather than having to recreate it all from scratch?
Rescuing the Pistons and Components sign on Great Western Rd would be an excellent start!

Suggest it to them! Find a contact point, and drop them an email. That Pistons and Components sign may live on

I have one you can borrow, if you like. Doubt it will match any of your shirts, though.

I'm looking for a better that doesn't ask me a lot of questions or feels obliged to tell me his life history. I don't want one to whom I feel obliged to explain the basics of capitalism and how it fucks us all over. I want one who trim my hair to the length I say rather than what he or she thinks I said. And it would be a bonus if they asked me if I wanted my eyebrows trimmed rather than for me having to ask them.
Any recommendations from those of you in Glasgow who have to get still get their hair cut each month?

Snips, Alexander Street, Clydebank .. with the added bonus of Billy, head barber I think, being the founder member of Glaswegian 70's music sensation, Greenmantle.
Still playing away, incidentally, with a new album just having been finished in Abbey Road and out at the end of the month.

You tried Salandini's? 342, West Princes Street - the wee bit on the other side of Park Road. Always been good with or without the banter.
