Is that different to the one that was where Morrisons is now?

Yep, that was Newlands, which was the largest tram depot in the city, and lasted as a bus garage until 1986, i've got a lot of photos from there.

Pollockshaws Depot was closed in about 1910, but the building was still there in the late fifties.

Is that the building that would have been at the bottom of Coustonhill Road, beside Claremont Garments?

glasgow ken, the very best resource i have found for pollokshaws pictures is the pollockshaws heritage website. http://www.pollokshaws.org.co.uk just click on the gallery section and you will find lots of great pics of pollokshaws old and new. and how do i know how many people are still living in the soon to be demolished flat,s? easy, i live in the 1930,s tenement block just opposite :D
also we do get a free local newsletter called the new shaws post ,and in the latest edition which we got today it says that there are now only five flats still occupied. i guess that since it was printed some more people have moved out

The Pollokshaws Heritage Site is an excellent site. Good selection of photographs. I couldn't find any showing the site but some aerial views of towards that area in the second gallery.

Thanks, yes that's the spot. You can see the track layout here,

Great photos on that Pollokshaws history site, but the only images of Pleasance St had the photographer looking the other way :(
