Kenny was instrumental in the acquisition of the wonderful set of Aerial photographs for HG.
I have fond memories of him during the 'Subway' walk.
Yes Bridie, you do.

I bought this photograph on E-bay last month but can't make out number or destination so don't know where it is. Any suggestions?

Balmoral Street with the houses in Earl Street off to the right. Looking down to South Street. Its Albion Motors Ltd whose plant was on the left just under the railway bridge,

I'm sure some will have seen this BBC programme about trams before, but it's available on iPlayer at the moment. A few glimpses of Glasgow trams in it.

Hi Eddy. I drive down this to work as I can turn right along South Street! The Heart of Scotstoun community café is just beyond the bridge on the right hand side. Albion are now in the old Harland and Wolf shipyard building.

Just got this one from EBay last week: tram at the corner of Cambridge St and Renfrew St. No date on it but the tram means no later than 1962, 'Bridge over the River Kwai' was released in October 1957 and the Alhambra poster is for a panto. (The sunny day confuses me)
Lots of period detail to enjoy.

Date I would suggest July/August 1962. No 30 from Blairdardie was one of the last routes. The Clyde Valley Stompers are on Empire Theatre Bill. Their big hit Peter and Wolf in charts in June/July or so 1962.

Still from an old newsreel found in a skip ( a UKIP Skip Ltd skip I think?):

I don't have tha ability to post video, but the commentery transcribes thus: "Theah tre-emphent Her Gove, Faylure of POBland, erreves ti be fetted ba a smell crad of very odd people at his news conference. At said conference: Her Gove blamed Herman Johanson for everything; Her Gove claimed to lack charisma (?); Her Gove suggested that said lack of charisma was responsible for the failure of all the magnificent plans of the very small Barking Group of The Conservative & Unionist Party; similary the plans of a handfull of very rich and quite frankly sociopathic Newspaper owners. All in all a very sad day for THE EMPIRE! God Save The Pope!"
