I'd march proudly to the counter with a bus mag before I would with a copy of the Daily Mail...

I have to say the Readers Wives section of said magazine left me flaccid, disappointed and with a lifetime ban from Central Station!

A friend is looking for some information on J Stewart & Co coach works, who specialised in bus bodies. Has anyone on here heard of this firm?

Hopeing someone else might know about a accident involving a GCT bus tipping over as it turned from Elmbank St in to Bath St think it was early 60s but not a 100% sure believe the driver took corner to fast and mounted kerb and that with the help of very high wind tipped it over.

the evening times is available online for the 50's through to the late 80's but unless you know the year tracking this down would be really difficult
only other suggestion i can make is find an old bus driver who may remember the incident or perhaps know someone who remembers
early sixties would cover the tears 1960 to 1964 the mitchell library may have something on record if they have a newspaper index try under
accidents/buses/ elmbank street/glasgow corporation
thats the only alternatives to find a month/date
either that or start with 1960 and look through each issue until you find it
