He he i was waiting to see how long it would take GK to respond...Not bad. 3 mins.

I saw an Atlantean on Victoria Road last week. Do they still work on the School runs for some companies?

The one in Motherwell is the ill-fated LA697 which seemed so close to completely restored but at the moment whose fate is undecided. I don't think one of the owners wants to sell it, but at the same time doesn't seem too bothered about finishing it. A real shame as this is a now unique 2 door LA and as I said requires little more than Verona Green and Gold Cup Yellow to finish it off. I even have some seats for it but I want to wait and check it isn't going to end up on the scrap heap first!

I think the McKindless one is one of the Newcastle "Jumbos" - similar to the Glasgow ones on the surface. I await the scrapping of this as it is bound to yield me some bits! Not sure what the yellow one is, but I am pretty sure that no other Glasgow ones survive outwith those preserved or the three no longer used as buses. (There are of course about a dozen in the USA, most wearing 1972 registrations although only one is actually this old). If I could find one in a yard somewhere I would be ecstatic, although I would probably be looking for parts rather than even thinking about saving another!

Mark.

I thought it was still at Larkfield ? It'd be a tragedy if it was scrapped.
