Been scanning some of my old theatre programmes, this is in one for the Coliseum in Eglinton St, dating from 1911....

Apparently last nights storms werent good for the Great Eastern and its been declared an unsafe building :(

edit// part of the roof has blown off. Maybe not so suprising given how damaged from fire the upper floors were...

I've been past it - it looks pretty bad. Couldn't get close enough in the car to take pictures as the roads around it are all closed (also it was too wet to go wandering and I had no change for the meter). Lots of debris on the road. Will upload pics I took from the train later - work has banned Flikr, photobucket, bebo and anything else I might try to upload photos to...

Partick train station is closed.

The building is about to undergo redevelopment with a new roof extension anyway so the storm has done the developers a favour :).

The roof is to be removed this week, with development work still scheduled to start in march.

The rest of the solid bit of the roof is gone, although the internal roof structure is there.
