This is a wind-up right, or just plain innacurate reporting
I mean calling the bridge 'ARCHIE' after the architect? Does this kind of thing still get done? There's something here I'm not getting maybe?

http://www.theherald.co.uk/news/70225.htmlA nice public relations turn from the organisers at yesterdays Open Doors access to the bridge; everyone was given a certificate giving the date and verifying that they had been on the bridge before it’s ‘official’ opening – nice wee momento especially for many of the kids who were there.
Kind of ‘ordinary folks’ detailing that Glasgow does often get right on the events scene.
FIT!!! I never got one on Saturday, I am unimpressed.

Name decided by committee then
Wonder how many Govanites were on it, also how many BBC or SMG people had an influence.

If SMG had an influence it would have been called the Taggart Bridge.

Because there probably will be shortly? Just a guess like.
I've been calling it the Finnieston Bridge, seems like the sensible name. Taggart bridge would have been good though.

Yup, I refer to it and think of it as the Finnieston Bridge too. I like names that tell it like it is, no fuss, you'd know where to find it if someone told you to go over the finnieston bridge.

Did anybody also notice the big Private Property signs debarring access to the riverside walkway from the bridge all the way to Springfield Quay?
