This is a view looking over the new park from London Road.

The digger is sitting in St. Andrew Lane and Schipka Pass was above it at the same level as London Road.

Here is a general view of the new park. It looks nice and will be better when it is finished.

There is a walkway running through the park with names of music groups etched into it.

This is a close up of part of the walkway.

I don't know what the relevance of the music groups and dates are ?

It is a nice wee park and hopefully the presence of a Polis Box will discourage the vandals.

Well I hope you have enjoyed my wee update on Schipka Pass.

Although it is now gone, it will live on here as long as "Hidden Glasgow" exists.

Brian.

Correct. It`s a chronological list of all bands/solo artists who ever played the Barrowland Ballroom. The park is temporary. There for the games only. The privately owned land, now decorated at our expense, will thus accrue in value for the owner who plans new private flats. Nice.

That Tardis. On holiday from John Knox St/Castle St? Or Buchanan St? :?:

Doh! - I should have thought of the Barrowland connection. :?

When I was at the park, there was only one guy working on it
I don't see it being completed in 9 days from now !

Ties in nicely with the Cooncil's plan to gentrify the Barrowland area. What next? - a branch of Waitrose maybe!!

I think there's a few which have been pulled out of storage especially for The Games, this being one of them. There's now a red one on Sauchiehall Street, and I'm not sure about Cathedral Street - I think that one was removed a while ago, but might have been put back now?

I was there yesterday and saw no sign of jakies and the dates seem to be in random order.
