Yer joking? :(

The archway at the entrance to that scary footpath that links up to Carntyne Road, up under the railway bridge? I kept meaning to take photies when I was living in the area, but as always, I kept forgetting.

That's the one

I know a cop who received a call to that place at approximately 11:00 and ten seconds one weekday morning. He was in his car which he parked outside quickly as he was in Duke Street at the time and entered the place predicting a customer still drunk from the previous night who was refused service and wouldn't leave or some drug related incident. What he encountered was two really old guys, both with walking sticks shuffling around one another and attempting to fight.

I'm trying to remember when it shut.

Haha! Joanna Lee's! Used to be called The Jiggin' if I recall rightly.

No, I've never been in it either, but from what I heard it wasn't so much rough as just... mental. It's been shut for years, and it's supposed to be going if the M80/M74 link road phase 3 ever happens (don't hold your breath).
