I don't know who he was, and I don't even think he noticed me taking a photo. :>

Unusual place to find one. But the owner takes good care of it as can be seen from the pic. And it has an alarm built in :!:

Taken in Toronto's Little Italy, the evening I arrived here...

What a surprise it was to walk down a street 3,000 miles from the UK and find one.

Noticed this whilst browsing today... an old style K2 or whatever phone box in Bath Street from 1955.

Also spotted one (or a fake studio one) this afternoon whilst watching the original (and probably best) "The Ladykillers".

Yeah, I spotted that one in "The Ladykillers" as well. Looks like a mock-up.

The one in Bath Street might actually be a K4, which was a K2, but made out of concrete and not painted red. If you look at hte pic it appears to be quite gray in colour (I know, it's a black and white pic).

I read somewhere that K2's were only ever put up in London, but that may have been wrong.

Cheers,

Doc (your friendly neighbourhood phonebox bore)

Now THIS is interesting...
Noticed it as I was returning to my mate's car on Saturday... Parked outside the pool in the Gorbals, due to the National Bigotry Championships being on at Glasgow Green and town being totally mobbed.

I don't suppose that is the one up at Baldernock Cattery is it? I passed it the other day and I'm sure it had a yellow sign on it just like that.

I've just driven through Fife all weekend, and in particular today I drove from Larbert to St Andrews to Anstruther to St Andrews back to Glasgow and almost EVERY town and village you pass through still has a red phone box. I was going to stop and take pics, but I'd still only be half way home by now if I did.

Yer right enough Doc.

I bought "The Twilight Years of the Glasgow Tram" book and it has this photo of a concrete grey looking phone box next to the western.
