The very same. It's a beautiful piece of workmanship, actually.

You'll all call me stupid (one of those "doh!" moments.......) When you look at the Glasgow Coat of Arms, you can see that the bird/tree/bell/fish theme is repeated - and I've just noticed!

Obviously it's on the shield. But then only it dawned on me the whole thing is shaped like a bell, another bird is looking at you straight on underneath St. Mungo, and there are the two fish at the side obviously. So where is the second tree?

Nope. There's also this, in the wee lane round the back of the Scottish National Portrait Gallery:

Aaand another... this being quite an old one currently living in the Museum of Scotland, on the side of a bell made by a Dutch maker in 1663 for Glasgow's Tolbooth:

With the motto in Latin too, just for fun.

I enjoyed looking through all 30 pages of this thread, which was a reminder of why I love HG.

Here is a corporation coat of arms from Springburn Road. Looks like an electrical box. Street lighting or tramways?

Probably best viewed at FH size if you want to make it out:

Just something I managed to do in work recently.

The eagle eyed amongst you will note its inspired by the logos that appear on bus shelters across the city. Took some photos, imported them into Autocad and traced the outline, then with the help of some colleagues, we sent the file to the Laser Profiling machine.
